Lac de Guerlédan drained panorama
A panorama image of the Lac de Guerlédan. Lake Guerlédan is an artificial lake in the centre of Brittany, France. Beginning in 1951, the Lake was regularly drained for repair, the last time being in 1985, revealing a hidden landscape of submerged locks and buildings. Modern technology will reduce this frequency but now the lake has been temporarily drained for the last time in a generation new maintenance access is being installed so that the dam's hydro-electric system can be checked without the need to drain.
